1994-APRIL 1991
Radio Rumpus Room v.1.0 runs its course. Playlists are buried somewhere
in a long-misplaced three-ring binder.
A
BRIEF SHOW HISTORY
Radio Rumpus Room began broadcasting in its current configuration
of genres (v.2.0) in May 1994. It was at this time that Ron joined the
show on a full-time basis. Jean launched a slightly different iteration
(v.1.0) of Radio Rumpus Room ("dropping the needle on everything
from hillbilly to hardcore") three years earlier, in April 1991.
It was a somewhat punkier version of the present show; Ron was a frequent
but unofficial co-host starting with the second year. Jean's previous
radio experience included hosting the punkier-yet "Morpheus Strip"
and "Nocturnal Emissions," both overnight shows on the KFAI
schedule.
