SAVVY
SHOW STARTER (always a local artist!)
The Trashmen -- A-Bone (Tube City: Best Of...; Sundazed)
"A-Bone"
was written by Minneapolitan Larry LaPole, and is the Trashmen's homage
to the hot rodded Model A Ford. Because of it's simplicity, price and
wide availability, the 1928-31 Model A has always been a favorite of
hot rodders. We played it for the Minneapolis Messaround, a car show
taking place Saturday, August 12 at Memory Lanes bowling alley in Minneapolis.
The Messaround, sponsored by the Lucky Bastards car club, is the first
Minnesota car show aimed at hot rods, jalopies, customs, and bikes 1964
and earlier, built in the traditional style of the '50s and early '60s.
