Jean and Ron pledge-rapped their way to the end of the Spring 2007 membership drive while on Blanche's Fubar Omniverse show earlier in the morning, 12 hours before this episode of Radio Rumpus Room. Huge thanks to the fantastic listener members who made the successful drive -- and radio like this -- possible. You folks are great!

SAVVY SHOW STARTER (always locally recorded!)
Stingray Green -- Go Home
(Hard Numbers; www.stingraygreen.com)

Stingray Gren has been playing in the Twin Cities for five years; their last two shows will take place Friday, May 4 in Minneapolis. Earlier in the evening they will play a set at the Uptown Bar as part of the multi-day International Pop Overthrow festival. (It's the first time this multi-city event includes the Twin Cities on it's schedule.) The Rays will share the night's bill with the Conquerors, the Hard Left and a bunch of other bands. Once finished they pack up their amps and drumkit and move to the Hexagon Bar for the final evening of Chris Dorn's three-night Pop Music Festival. This will be the Ray's final performance; they'll headline this show. The band's website reports co-founder Dan Boardman will join the band (Kent, Jay, Rob and Dan Sarka) onstage for both shows. Stingray Green -- it's been a good run. Thanks for the noise!
