Jeez, we do love our hot rod music. And we've played an awful lot of it during the eight years we've done our weekly radio show Radio Rumpus Room. Here we'll be looking at original releases of the '60s -- hot rod music spawned of rockabilly, country and rock'n'roll -- as well as the many reissues of recent years. We will also be paying a lot of attention to the huge number of hot rod songs -- originals and covers -- that sprang up during the Great Surf'n'Drag Revival of the 1990s. We will be looking at the art and artists, we will be pulling apart the lyrics. We will look at CDs, LPs and singles. We will address it with a reverence and a sense of humor too, with the implicit acknowledgement that Yes, There Are More Important Things In The World Than Hot Rod Music.
